Do I need to be a company to register an Irish domain name?

There is a general misconception that an applicant must have an Irish registered company before he/she can register an Irish domain name. The key to Irish domain registration is that you show a tangible connection to the domain name you require. Depending on what category of applicant you are (e.g. Company, Sports club, Individual etc) the information required to show that connection differs.

Information on what is required for each class of applicant can be found on our main website under the terms and conditions for IE domain registration.
